About Me

Ebrar Tekin, born in 2003, is a young conductor who discovered her passion for music at an early age. She began her artistic journey with ballet at the age of five and turned to music by learning the piano at the age of ten. She attended Istanbul Technical University Conservatory High School.

She received her primary conducting training from Serdar Yalçın, her harmony, counterpoint, and fugue education from Turgay Erdener, and her choral conducting training from Gökçen Koray at Maltepe University. Ebrar has had the privilege of working with renowned mentors such as Oleg Caetani, Toby Purser (Head of Conducting, Royal College of Music), Gábor Takács-Nagy, and David Reiland.

During her student years, at the age of eighteen, she conducted her first symphony concert with the Başkent Chamber Orchestra. While still a student, she also performed at the Gaziantep Culture Road Festival and collaborated with esteemed ensembles such as the Suna Kan Chamber Orchestra, Cinema Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana, and Music Fermata Orchestra.

In addition to her conducting career, Ebrar continues her vocal studies with soprano Hande Soner Ürben. She also worked as an assistant in the operas Don Giovanni (2023) and The Barber of Seville (2024) with Italian baritone Pietro Spagnoli. Under the baton of Oleg Caetani, she conducted La Bohème (2023) and Tosca (2024) with the Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana; and under Toby Purser, she conducted Debussy’s La Mer and Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune in the conducting masterclass at the Royal College of Music (Oxford).

Ebrar graduated in July 2025 from Maltepe University Conservatory with full scholarship and top honors, and in the same year, she was accepted as an assistant conductor at the Berlin Opera Academy.
